Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators
Founded in 2004, the Children's Museum of Art and Science (CMAS) has made a tremendous impact in its 20 years. Thanks to the help of members, volunteers, and other community partnerships and contributors in Lake County. CMAS is committed to stimulating children's curiosity and motivating learning arts and sciences in them, especially where related to Lake County's past, present, and future, and complementing efforts in schools, child care centers, and homes to enrich the lives and education of children.
Our Mission
The Children's Museum of Arts and Science of Clearlake, as operated by the South Lake Alliance shall serve as a unique community resource that:
-
Nourishes opportunities for children, families, educators, and parenting groups to learn about themselves and the world around them in a creative, non-commercial environment.
-
We provide an enriching atmosphere in which to explore a multitude of cultures.
-
Offers active youth and senior volunteer programs.
-
Provides access to dynamic, interactive learning opportunities to all children and their care-givers, regardless of ethnicity, disability, or economic status.
-
In addition, the Children's Museum of Arts and Science of Clearlake will also provide educational outreach services to local education agencies, and such public institutions as libraries and museums.
